getting started
We will meet and discuss your goals for your life story project. This initial consultation is free. You may choose to (1) have me interview you and write your story, edit your story and design your book, (2) have me edit your personally written story, or (3) have me design your book around your written and edited story or any combination that suits you and your needs. Each book is a custom project and timelines vary.
(1) THE TOTAL PACKAGE
Together we will design a timeline for your project and Touchstone Storytelling LLC will outline the project step-by-step. All projects are client-driven and are tailored for each individual.
Interview questions will be provided to you in advance of our first interview.
You will talk, share, and reminisce during your interviews. They will be audio recorded and will be available at the end of the project.
You will provide photos, mementos and more to be scanned into your final book. These will all be returned to you and saved in digital format.

Press Time! Order your hard or soft covered book and/or e-book. Most books are shipped within two weeks of completion.
(2) Editing
Have you written your manuscript and need heavy or light editing? I can read your book and suggest either structural editing which provides a detailed manuscript assessment or copy editing to improve grammar and consistency or a combination of the two. I strive to improve your book’s clarity, coherence, consistency and correctness using Associate Press Style.
(3) Book design
I will design your book based on your complete manuscript. Your book can be text-driven or include photos and other images (submitted separately). I use InDesign to create your book and coordinate the print production of the book using online printer Blurb.com. Through Blurb a number of hard back and softback and ebook options and sizes are available. You may choose full color or black and white printing as well.
